International IT Security Summit 2008The presentations underscored the growing importance that corporations attach to information technology security today. According to a study by Berlecon Research, involving over one hundred IT managers and five hundred employees from large German companies, 47% of companies expect to spend more on IT security in 2008 than previously, while experts predict that IT security spend will double by 2011. Keynote speakers at the conference such as Christian Rosner, CEO of S&T AG and Cisco Regional Manager Viktor Kovács highlighted this trend: “Today companies need a comprehensive approach to security, which covers not just information technology, but the entire organizational structure and employees. Our center’s expert staff rely on years of experience to assist clients in planning and implementing cutting edge solutions. As a result of their hard work, S&T Hungary was internationally recognized last year as the best security technology partner,” said Christian Rosner, CEO of S&T. And Viktor Kovács added: “One crucial element in the professional relationship between our two companies is the protection of network security structures and critical IT systems. The Competence Centre launched by S&T last autumn has a fundamental role in our joint work; after all, years of experience can be accessed and utilized in one place.” |
