S&T cooperates with Polish Banknote PrinterExperience and excellent performanceS&T Services Polska has been chosen by PWPW in a competitive bid as its partner who could reshape IT operations within the PWPW capital group. PWPW has decided that S&T Services Polska would make the best fit with PWPW in the area of IT due to the company’s excellent track record in supporting PWPW teams, its experience in the Polish public and government sector and its thorough understanding of the sector’s specific needs. Patrick Flanagan, Managing Director of S&T Services Polska, said that closing a sophisticated outsourcing deal with the biggest government-owned print shop of secure documents and adding a strong team to S&T resources is part of long-term strategy of S&T that calls for doubling the company’s business till 2010: 'With such significant organic growth that we have been enjoying recently, the Polish branch of S&T would accomplish this objective even prior to the set date. Moreover, our deal with PWPW is just another proof that S&T is a credible and reliable IT partner for the most demanding clients in the public sector whose needs include adherence to strict clearance procedures and security measures, as is the case with printing money or identity cards'.Contracts remain validAs of September 2007 the whole PWPW IT team, counting 17 top SAP specialists, had been transferred to S&T Services Polska. This solution was engineered by PWPW, its subsidiary PWPW IT and S&T in a three-party outsourcing and cooperation deal. The new S&T team (formerly of PWPW IT) continues to provide support to the PWPW Capital Group in the areas of IT and telecommunications, including SAP system maintenance and development, CRM system implementation and roll-out, a helpdesk operation and an IT service request function. All previously signed contracts still valid between PWPW and its subsidiary PSPW IT have been passed on to S&T and outsourced to S&T's newly established department, which is made up of the former staff of PWPW IT. According to Bogdan Żurek, Public Sector Director at S&T Services Polska, the deal with PWPW is a logical consequence of the gradual growth of the S&T business with PWPW: 'Having worked with PWPW for years, we’ve become close business allies and understood that combining our capabilities would bring a synergy effect. We have always respected the professionalism and commitment of the PWPW IT consultants, mainly when it came to SAP implementation and maintenance – I hope with some reciprocity. Thus, their transfer to our company seems only natural and makes a lot of sense. This operation has improved the quality of services provided to PWPW by S&T people and strengthened our skills in handling other clients and approaching new ones, especially in the public and government sector'.
