S&T AG: Closing of IMG takeover concludedIntegration by end of 2007Shared strategy development IMG’s management will stay on board and collaborate intensively in the development of the shared future strategy. According to Rosner: “There will be no downsizing. On the contrary, we are looking for new employees in the technology sector as well as in the manufacturing industry, financial services and trade.” The IMG brand will continue, as well IMG’s portfolio of services. This will be enhanced significantly by the services and solutions that S&T can offer existing customers. The same goes vice versa for S&T customers, who see the acquisition of IMG as a very positive step. Re-positioning In the course of the integration, the combined companies will also strive to re-position themselves in the marketplace while optimally using the strengths of both companies. The core business sectors are being folded together, the go-to-market model fine-tuned and the offers and resources coordinated internationally. “The services, the target customers, the geographical presence and know-how complement each other perfectly for both companies. This is not a matter of correcting overlaps, but to ensure that all these areas tie into each other optimally,” according to Alfred Ermer, CEO of IMG AG. Profiting the customers The IMG integration offers added opportunities for the customers of both companies. Aside from the expanded geographical presence, both companies can now offer the spectrum of services of the other company. In addition, the combined company with 1,200 ERP / SAP consultants now belongs among the larger SAP consulting houses in Europe. On the other hand, multinational teams as well as cost and efficiency advantages of the group directly benefit the customer. Rosner: “Like us, IMG has many years of excellent experience in professional and technical know-how in our target industries at its disposal, uses highly modern tools and contributes process expertise. In combination with our strong S&T teams we will attain our ambitious growth targets, especially in the area of IT consulting and services. But of course there are many opportunities for our “managed services” business, as well as for the infrastructure area.” |
