S&T Hungary: Cisco Technology Excellence Partner of the Year

S&T among the 10 best Cisco Partners worldwide

S&T Hungary was named one of the ten outstanding companies that have been awarded at the yearly worldwide Cisco Partner Summit. The expertise of S&T Hun-gary covers mainly IT infrastructure solutions (networking, security, storage), the company employs a constantly growing number of Cisco devices and technologies during its projects. Winning the “Cisco Technology Excellence Partner of the Year” award was due S&T’s over 12 years’ partnerhip with Cisco, including three years’ Gold Partner status, the excellent day to day cooperation and its role in the project for Euronet Worldwide. „We have completed a number of successful projects in close cooperation with Cisco Hungary, where we could successfully prove Cisco network security systems and solutions’ applicability against products from new vendors tar-geting the Hungarian market” – explained Mr. Istvan Simon, Managing Director of S&T Hungary Ltd. „We are delighted to have received this award as it clearly indi-cates what is the most important for us, namely the high-level knowledge of technol-ogy and professionalism. The major strength of S&T is that we build on our expertise and knowledge and we do see from our customers feedback that in today’s fast changing world when new technologies and solutions emerge every day, and we have to react faster and faster to new security threats – this is what our customers need.”

Dynamic growth
S&T Hungary has achieved outstanding results in the field of selling Cisco security solutions and was not only the most dynamically growing company in offering techni-cal support to the security products but has also invested considerable resources in acquiring the highest level of knowledge and expertise in the Cisco security product range, particularly in the MARS and IDS products. Christian Rosner, CEO S&T AG: “We are proud of this award, because it confirms our competence in the planning and implementation of convergent networks and network security, which is especially marked in Hungary, but also in other S&T countries. We offer this know-how across the whole group, for national and international projects; we are well established in this market sector.”

Strict award requirements
The ten awarded companies have been selected from over three thousand Cisco partner companies worldwide nominating for this award. The yearly Cisco global award is given to partners who meet certain strict requirements; the best performers in several categories are selected as receivers of the particular awards. The compa-nies have to pass formal nomination and selection procedures. The decision is being made by the top-level executives of Cisco, accordingly all awarded partners certainly comply with the customer satisfaction and quality principles adopted in the Cisco Channel Partner Program.

S&T Hungary works in close cooperation with Cisco since its foundation and has reached Gold Partner status in December 2004. As a result of the 2006 achieve-ments, Cisco Hungary has awarded S&T the „Network Security Partner of the Year” and „Enterprise Partner of the Year Partner”, in the preceding year S&T became the best “Network Security Partner” of Cisco.

S&T in Hungary
S&T Hungary has been established in 1999 as an affiliate of S&T AG. In 2001, S&T boosted its activities in Hungary by acquiring INNET Kft, in September 2006 S&T took over AG Unitis Corp., one of the market leaders in the area of business solu-tions, including for SAP ERP systems. S&T Hungary offers IT consulting and ser-vices along the entire IT value creation chain. At present, S&T employs over 200 staff in two locations and Hungary and is in an optimal position to lay claim to a position as a complete solution provider in the Hungarian marketplace.
