S&T AG: +13 % growth in consulting and business solutions

The first quarter result shows the impact of the strategy

27. April 2007. The details of the Q1 result of the S&T group of companies clearly shows: The transition of the business towards being a consulting and solutions provider has been successful. In consultancy and business solutions the company earned an increase in revenue of 13 % in the 1st quarter of 2007, in comparison to the same period in 2006. The Enterprise Systems business decreased slightly on the other hand. Consistently following the company strategy has also paid off.

Projects in the Enterprise Resource Planning, Business Intelligence, Enterprise Application Integration and Service Orientated Architecture areas dominated the 1st quarter of 2006 for S&T just as much as the IT Process Consulting and Management, Infrastructure Optimization and Management, Virtualization and Out-tasking themes. The numerous measures already introduced in 2006 for strengthening the consulting and project business showed the benefit and became the drivers for growth in the Business Solutions and Managed Service areas in spring 2007. "We will continue on this path, we have already introduced further initiatives in the first quarter in order to extend these areas of the business even further", explains Christian Rosner, CEO, S&T AG.

One of the drivers of the success is the SAP consultancy and the industry solutions area. S&T is one of the largest SAP consultancy companies in DACH, Central and Eastern Europe. With the SAP medium-sized offensive which began in the 1st quarter of 2007, S&T pushed business in this area with a special focus on medium-sized companies in new countries. Over and above that, the Competence Center also proved itself to be a strong driver for positive development, obtaining numerous orders from customers from various S&T countries.
