S&T will double its business by 20102010 Strategy: Growth in IT consultancy and solutionsGrowth a strategy dimension S&T has always been a growth enterprise. S&T has taken over four companies in different countries in 2006, at the same time more than half of the total growth has come from organic growth. Rosner: “The combination of organic growth and acquisitions should also determine the growth until 2010. The projections for the markets generally and especially for the IT services in the “S&T countries” expect a potential for growth which we would like to take advantage of.“ Grow S&T markets The predicted gross domestic product growth rates will be between two and six percent in the majority of the S&T countries until 2010, for China, the experts even predict 8.8%, for the Ukraine 6.5%, for Turkey, Romania and Albania 6.2%. In Eastern Europe where IT expenditure per inhabitant is still relatively low there is a massive potential for growth. For the IT services markets, growth rates are forecasted in double digit figures. In addition, the expected IT expenditure of several S&T focused sectors show the same trend for growth. Geographical presence as a strategy dimension Currently, S&T operates in 23 countries. The geographical focal point of the company is on Central and Eastern Europe as well as the Germany, Austria, Switzerland region, whereby Asia increasingly gains significance as a potential growth market. S&T will stick to this clear geographical focus in the coming years. Business areas strategy dimension S&T creates added value for its customers across the entire IT supply chain. The range of services in the IT consultancy, IT solutions and IT services area covers enterprise planning solutions to information lifecycle management concepts right up to desktop managed services and software development. “Our aims are the massive expansion of the consultancy business, an increase of the SAP and software business as well the growth in managed and professional services and the outsourcing area for our infrastructure business”, explains Rosner. “On top of that further expansion and the use of detailed industry know-how will define the next few years.” Customers / sectors as a strategy dimension S&T supports large as well as medium sized national and international customers with +200 employees or workstations. The strong presence in the manufacturing, telecommunications, financial services, public administration and energy services provider sectors will be expanded to the retail, car trade, distribution as well as the civil aviation and the defence sector in the future. The projects for these customers will be implemented from over 80 locations in 23 countries both locally and cross border. Partners, an important strategic dimension S&T cooperates closely with selected strategic partners for which S&T is also regarded as a key partner, and who appriciate S&T´s commitment to invest in a successful development of partnerships. Currently, S&T counts on international brands like HP, SAP, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle and Cisco as strategic partners. Employees the strategy dimension “As a service company our employees and their skills are our key to success“, Rosner is convinced. S&T invests around 3% p.A. of it´s total wages in training and development, which is more than twice of Austrian companies. The focus in the coming years is in particular the expansion of the industry and technology know-how. |
