Fritz Egger GmbH Concludes 5-Year Contract with S&T Austria
IT-Standardisation at all Egger Subsidiaries in Central and Eastern Europe
S&T Austria has assumed responsibility for the next five years for the procurement and servicing of IT equipment for Fritz Egger GmbH & Co. Wood-Based Products.
The recently signed service agreement will ensure that Egger GmbH is able to maintain its high quality standards at all its international subsidiaries. Under the terms of the contract, S&T will be responsible for the IT equipment at approximately 2,000 computer workstations across national borders in Central and Eastern Europe.
The Egger Group is headquartered in St. Johann in Tyrol and has 16 plants in five countries, employing some 5,100 people. Each year it produces more than five million cubic metres of wood-based products, most recently generating sales of EUR 1,293 million. With a share of the European market of approximately 10%, the family-run company is one of the world's leading producers of chipboard, MDF and OSB boards, as well as upgraded products such as coated boards, post-and soft-forming elements, prefabricated parts, laminates, edging and laminate flooring. The contract with S&T guarantees the central co-ordination and control of the IT services used at the many Egger plants in Central and Eastern Europe over the next few years. Joint Growth
Due to the proximity of S&T to the markets in which Egger has subsidiaries, S&T is able to offer a uniform standard of service across national borders. When drawing up the contract, Egger placed particular emphasis on locations in Russia and Romania. The synergies of the two companies are obvious. Like Egger, S&T is headquartered in Austria from where it manages its country subsidiaries. And like Egger, S&T is one of the largest and most successful companies in its industry in the CEE region. "By signing this contract, the Egger Group has demonstrated its trust in us. The way has been paved for future successful further business development. Yet another well-known company which we have the privilege of accompanying in Central Europe from our base in Austria," says Georg Komornyik, Managing Director of S&T Austria.
