Merger of companies acquired by S&T in early 2005 already successfully completed

The successful integration of the four companies at shared sites means that after only five months even the locational and structural aspects of the merger of S&T Austria, Computacenter and T-Systems DSS to form the new S&T Austria GmbH have been completed. The headquarters of S&T AG has also moved to the new location in 1110 Vienna.

  • Fusion of T-Systems DSS and Computacenter to form S&T Austria strengthens S&T's position on the Austrian IT market
  • Synergy effects form the basis for successful repositioning
The record-breaking speed and professionalism with which the various IT systems and business processes were integrated, and the rapid legal amalgamation of the three companies acquired in 2005, as well as the concentration of the branch offices in the provinces and all logistics in lessthan six months is an important reference project for the IT systems integrator S&T.

The opportunities presented by the amalgamation are also being used to reposition S&T Austria GmbH on the Austrian market for IT services. As Helfried Mück, managing director of S&T Austria explains, "in future we will focus more strongly upon industry solutions for telecoms, banks and insurance companies, the manufacturing sector, government and power utilities. This will enable us to generate synergies and exploit competences in Austria as well as the know-how of affiliated companies throughout the entire S&T Group, especially the recently acquired EFP Group which is also active in Austria." The acquisition of the EFP Group, a leading provider of SAP solutions in CEE, strengthens S&T's product portfolio in the increasingly important ERP segment, process consulting and IT outsourcing.

"Both international companies headquartered in Austria and medium-sized Austrian companies with subsidiaries abroad will benefit even more from the international synergies within the S&T Group and our service network in 21 Central and East European countries. As a result of this merger, we can now offer maximum customer proximity throughout Austria and will consistently utilize our new sales strength," says Christian Rosner, COO of S&T AG.

The kick-off will take place on September 7, 2005 at the Semper Depot in Vienna with a large S&T customer event. As well as introducing the new S&T Austria, S&T and its strategic partners HP, IBM, EMC, Fujitsu-Siemens, Microsoft, Citrix, Network Appliance, RSA, Samsung, Lenovo and VMWare will also present trends, strategies and solutions on the theme of Business Continuity to Austrian customers.

S&T Austria has over 300 employees at six locations throughout Austria serving renowned customers such as Porsche, RedBull, Uniqa, Billa, Spar, Mondi Business Paper, BAWAG PSK Gruppe, voestalpine, Coca-Cola, BMW, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Andritz, SCA, BP, TILAK, Magna Steyr, Austrian, BA-CA, Infineon, OMV, the Lower Austrian provincial government and the Austrian Chamber of Commerce.

Following the successful integration, S&T Austria GmbH is now the leading Austrian provider of IT services.
