New S&T Nearshoring Centre in RomaniaVigorous Expansion PlannedThe decision to base the new subsidiary in Romania was taken very consciously: Highly educated software developers (SAP, Microsoft, Java, etc.) with good language skills, competitive prices and proximity to the customer make nearshoring more attractive for Western and East European companies than off-shoring in Asia. "Why should East and West European companies go so far away for these services when there are such excellent conditions for nearshoring in Romania and other East European countries? The geographic proximity to the customer and a familiar European partner are major competitive advantages," affirmed Christian Rosner, CEO of S&T AG. S&T Software employs only highly qualified software specialists. Agreements with local sub-contractors enable the team to be variably expanded according to project requirements. By the end of the year, more than 60 people will be working for S&T Software, and the company plans to open additional branches in Romania in 2007, leading to further significant increases in the size of the workforce. |
