S&T's Expertise Attracts Big International Partners like IBMHigh-Quality Support for Customers in Central and Eastern Europe"The new agreement between IBM and S&T enables our clients across Central and Eastern Europe to be provided with competitive local solutions, based on a very broad portfolio of IBM hardware and software and on the S&T's Business Process Aligned IT services", said Uwe Posautz, Vice President System Sales, IBM CEMA. This co-operation agreement is valuable for S&T in two respects. Firstly, S&T is expanding its range of services and products as part of its strategy to become the leading provider of Business Process Aligned IT solutions, providing customers with solutions and services that maximise the rate of return on IT investments. Secondly, IBM's "on demand" product strategy will enable S&T to offer IT infrastructure solutions that allocate IT resources to support those business processes that are the most vitally important to the customer. Moreover, S&T's strategy gives preference to co-operation with companies that provide global support and partnership agreements. "It is of strategic importance that we have partnerships with those suppliers that can provide us with the same level of support in all our markets, thus enabling S&T to share the know-how and skills gained from projects between the S&T organisations", said Christian Rosner, COO of S&T AG. "The contract will also allow S&T to enhance its capabilities to provide both a more extensive and specialised range of system integration services for customers in our target industries: financial services, telecommunications, manufacturing and government," he added. |
