Christian Weiland to become Region General Manager of S&T Central Region

S&T System Integration & Technology Distribution AG has appointed a new Regional General Manager for the S&T Central Region with beginning of October. Dr. Christian Weiland (42) will take over this function from COO Christian Rosner, who was previously responsible for the region. As announced in July, Christian Rosner will become CEO of S&T AG in early 2006.
As Region General Manager, Dr. Christian Weiland will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the S&T Central Region, one of the four S&T regions. Under his leadership, the company plans to strengthen synergy effects within the region (Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Switzerland), continue its growth strategy and push ahead with the expansion of the solutions and services business.

Weiland, who holds a degree in economics and social sciences, has worked on many projects in Eastern Europe since 1993 and for many years held an executive position at BauMax Hungary. The married father of two was also responsible for IT outsourcing at IBM Austria and the retail business of OMV Germany.
