S&T connects Austrian Federal Economic Chamber all over the world

The Austrian subsidiary of S&T System Integration & Technology Distribution AG has installed a global VPN solution (Virtual Private Network) for the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKÖ). This is available to WKÖ employees all over the world.

  • Secure access to data on the WKÖ corporate
  • WKÖ staff at the foreign trade offices now have immediate access to centrally stored data
The decentralised solution supplied by S&T Austria guarantees Federal Economic Chamber employees in Vienna and at foreign trade offices in 30 countries secure access to the WKÖ corporate network. Using a token - a system which verifies the identity of the user - this customised solution enables WKÖ employees both in Austria and abroad to access content on the corporate network.

The project once again enabled S&T to demonstrate its solutions competence. "Our core competence of combining mobility and security issues in IT infrastructure was what convinced the Federal Economic Chamber to award the contract to S&T", said Christian Rosner, COO of S&T.

"Providing our mobile users throughout the world with secure access via the VPN tunnel or Citrix was a key priority for us", said Thomas Reithofer from the Federal Economic Chamber. S&T Austria scored well in the bidding process organised by the Chamber in June of last year. The system has been up and running smoothly to everyone's satisfaction since early March 2005.
