Cartel Authority Approves Takeovers of T-Systems DSS & Computacente

S&T is now Austria's largest independent system integrator

The Monopolies and Merger Commission has now approved the takeover of Computacenter Austria and T-Systems DSS. Following this decision Helfried Mück, new managing director of the future S&T Austria, will merge the companies as quickly as possible. "We have a strong team in place in all functions and plenty of ambitious plans," the 49-year-old manager said. He also explained the advantages of the merger: "The companies we have taken over complement one another ideally in terms of product portfolio, know-how, regional coverage and suppliers." As a result of the takeovers, S&T has also won a large number of leading clients in Austria such as Andritz AG, Austrian Airlines, the BAWAG PSK Group, Billa, Magna, OMV, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Red Bull, Porsche, TILAK and Uniqa. The company will employ more than 300 people and plans to generate revenues of approximately EUR 140 mio. in 2005.

Optimal Utilisation of Synergies with 20 S&T Sister Companies in CEE

In particular, our new and existing customers will profit from synergies with the 20 S&T sister companies in Central and Eastern Europe - for example in procurement, logistics and the use of service resources. S&T will promote the cross-regional expansion of services, particularly in the IT infrastructure areas of storage, networking and security. At the same time, the existing strategic partnerships with HP, IBM, EMC, Microsoft, Cisco and Fujitsu Siemens will also play an important role.

Competent IT-Partner for Austria and Eastern Europe

"Large and medium-sized companies remain our target group in Austria. We also want to serve the entire Central and East European region, not just the domestic market", said Helfried Mück. "Eastern Europe is a top priority for our customers in Austria," said Christian Rosner, COO of the S&T holding company. "Austrian companies want a competent partner for their projects in Austria and in neighbouring countries. That is where we are the ideal partner", Rosner added.
